A Brand New Chapter ~ Boudoir Photography: Build Your Own Session ~ Vancouver, WA
/If you could build your own boudoir session… what would you include?
Would you keep it simple with just the bedroom set? Or would you get adventurous and try out some of my special sets… like the bathtub or dressing room?
Would you want a Hair and Makeup Artist to create your boudoir look? Or would you feel more comfortable glamming yourself before the session?
…And these questions are just the beginning!
I realized that being able to build a customized shoot outside of my boudoir packages would give my clients SO much room to choose… Which is why I created a “Build Your Own” Boudoir Session special!
This special offer included use of one studio set, a VIP gift bag, refreshments during the session, image editing, and a personal reveal session… all for a $50 fee! Yep, you heard that right… just $50. It was important for me to keep this offer as budget friendly as possible because I wanted to make the boudoir experience accessible to everyone.
Because clients have varying budgets and tastes, I also wanted to give the option to “build” onto the session with special add-ons… so if a client wanted to use more than one studio set or work with a Hair and Makeup artist, either of these options could be added on!
At the time I created this offer, I remember feeling like it was a new, positive change for my photography business! Which makes it SO fitting that one of the first clients who joined me for this special shoot was also embracing new beginnings.
When my client reached out to secure one of these spots, she shared that she wanted to do something just for herself as a way to honor a new chapter in her personal story. Boudoir is the perfect way to honor the different seasons in our lives… Plus, it comes with SUCH a freeing, empowering experience, so I knew that some time in front of the camera would be just what she needed.
My client decided to add on hair and makeup services, so Coreene Collins stopped in the studio to get her ready for her session! The final look was stunning, and the eyeshadow really made her eye color pop.
Once it was time for the session to start, my client ended up using two studio sets… the first one being the bedroom set! She chose black lingerie and silver satin sheets, allowing her bold, colorful tattoos to pop in the final shots! Looking back at these images, her fearless eyes say it all… She was feeling SO confident and empowered during this part of the shoot!
Next, it was time to use my indoor bathtub set. There are many ways to use this set… We can use real bubbles, faux bubbles, or even leave the bathtub empty. My client chose to use real bubbles and was SO excited that she would be able to play with them! I just got a new bubble machine before her session, and I was also looking forward to trying it.
As you can see in the final shots, we added a book as a prop to some of these photos… which is a perfect way to symbolize what she’s going through. She’s reading a new chapter in her book and ALSO walking into a new chapter of life!

Thank you SO much to my client for booking a special shoot with me and joining me in the studio!
