From Socials to the Studio ~ Boudoir Photography ~ Vancouver, WA

In today’s day and age, social media plays such a big part when it comes to my boudoir photography… I always LOVE connecting with women in the Vancouver area, and I’m so proud of the community that we’ve built together within my Facebook group.

P.S. If you haven’t heard about my Facebook group yet… Here’s everything you need to know!

I created a Facebook group called Beautiful. Powerful. Real. which is the best place to learn about my current boudoir specials and availability! On top of that, this group is made up of SUCH supportive women… It’s definitely a safe space for me! In the group, you’ll be encouraged to step into your confidence and embrace your body exactly how it is.

If you haven’t already joined… This is your sign to jump right in! Along with the amazing community we’ve built, joining the group will give you the opportunity to learn all about what it’s like to have a boudoir session. Many of our members join the group without knowing a whole ton about what the experience is like, but they quickly see other members sharing photos from their sessions… And the rest is history! It’s always so fun to see a new member join the group, learn more, and then fall in love with boudoir after booking a session. (Just like the rest of us have!)

This is exactly what happened when my client booked a session! She was a very active member of my Facebook group before coming in for a boudoir shoot, and I couldn’t wait to finally meet her. While reading her pre-session questionnaire, I knew we’d be in for a fun time! She had a ton of great ideas for the outfits and colors she wanted to include… The plan was for her to bring along purple Converse, fishnets, and a silver cocktail dress. With these being just a small portion of the items she listed, I knew it was going to be an exciting, fashion-filled session.

On the day of the session, my client showed up with all of her amazing looks and accessories that she described! While she was getting her hair and makeup done by Linda Wong, I started thinking about which outfits would work best in the different parts of the studio… We also planned to have a masquerade theme for some of the photos, so using a mask was also a must!

During this preparation process, I also chatted with my client and learned so much more about her! Even though she was already a super active member of our Facebook group, it was awesome to learn more her interests and her close relationship with her grandkids. Our group really allows us to connect with each other, but it’s SO fun whenever I’m meeting a member in person and can start to learn even more about them.

Once we got started with the session, we captured quite a few shots of her wearing a mask along with a gorgeous silver dress! For those photos, we used a backdrop that perfectly matched her outfit and also used the living room set for some of the shots. These photos came out looking amazing, but I have to say… I absolutely love the photos we took while she was wearing her next outfit. My client put on her purple Converse and fishnets, and of course we had to also use my matching purple couch! These shots capture her style and personality SO well. We then finished off by taking many photos that included the silver satin sheets. Her classic black set along with the silver sheets added the perfect touch of glamour to those final pictures!

Thank you so much to my client for trusting me and coming out for a boudoir/masquerade session! It was so much fun to officially meet and capture your personality on camera. You look absolutely stunning and so stylish in these shots!

If you’re feeling curious and want to learn more about our Beautiful. Powerful. Real. Facebook group… We would love to have you! If you’re looking for a supportive, encouraging group of women, I promise you’ll love the group as much as I do!
