Smoke & Mirrors ~ "Witchy" Outdoor Boudoir Session ~ Gresham, Oregon

Would you ever consider posing for an outdoor boudoir session?

When this client sent me a Pinterest board of her inspiration for a spooky outdoor boudoir session, I was SOOO excited! Her birthday is in October and Halloween is one of her favorite holidays, so she wanted to celebrate both with a “witchy” session that included some magical elements.

I have several connections with private properties in the Vancouver/Portland area that I can reach out to for outdoor boudoir sessions. After seeing this client’s vision, and knowing that she was coming from Gresham, I reached out to my contact in that area to see if her woodsy farm was available. Luckily, it was!

We met at the urban farm in the late afternoon for hair and make-up, and to check out some props that the farm owner had also left for us to use… including a sheep skull that TOTALLY went with my client’s theme!

We played with smoke grenades, capes, crowns, and pumpkins. The sun went down pretty quickly in the woods that evening, so we finished the session inside incorporating some mirrors and interesting shadows.

It was so much fun to get to play around and get creative! Sessions like that, that push me out of my comfort zone and force me to think in a new way are what breathe life into my work. Thank you so much for trusting me with your vision! I was so excited by the art that we created together!
