Boobs Out and All ~ Guest Blog, Vancouver, WA Boudoir Photography

I booked a mini shoot thinking I’d give it a try before fully committing.

And then my husband booked a vacation… I had to push the photos back. Phew. “What do I do with my hands” crisis temporarily adverted*.

And then Covid hit. I pushed them again from May of 2020 to February 2021 and upgraded to a full session, because at that point, why not?

January rolled around it was time to order my “outfits.” Not one to keep sexy clothing on hand, I turned to the trusty internet*. This is when I actually got excited about my session. So. Many. Options. I ordered 8 different things and obsessively checked my email to follow the shipping.

It took less than 2 weeks for everything to arrive. I immediately opened all the packaging, locked my door, and tried it all on. Quick mirror snaps to the BFF’s for their approval, and after a dozen fire emojis and some YAAASSSSSS’s, I picked the 3 that made me FEEL amazing. Now to wait.

I got to the studio the morning of my shoot and walked up to the door thinking “I can still cancel.” Brittney opened the door and as I walked through, it changed to “f*** yeah, I’m going to rock this.” Her studio was full of warm light, the sets were already up and looked beautiful and the conversation flowed naturally. Hair and makeup was so relaxing it made me with I could go through that process every morning.

Hair and makeup left, and it was time to get undressed! I grabbed my favorite outfit first, and we got to it. I had prepared Brittney for my stiff back and lack of knowledge on what to do with my limbs. She didn’t even blink, just told or showed me exactly what to do. I felt so at ease, it was easy to forget I was basically nude.

I couldn’t tell you how long my session lasted. It could have been 45 minutes. It could have been 3 hours. I honestly can’t remember. I just think about it and think of how relaxed I felt, boobs out and all. The biggest issue was knowing I had several days to wait for the editing process.

I’ve since been able to see the shots Brittney captured, and I’m in love with them. Years of practicing my RBF paid off, and I don’t know what we talked about, but the genuine smiles and laughs she got were incredible. To see myself in that way, it made me feel powerful. Not the kind of power where you know you can do something, but the power you feel actually doing it.

I can’t recommend this enough, and am already planning on my next session, this time with my husband.

* Notes from Brittney: These outfits all came from Shein. I’ve also had clients who have had luck with Savage X Fenty, and I have also created an entire lingerie guide for you with links to Amazon options under $30 for you, too!

** I totally have an ENTIRE section in my Boudoir Prep Guide titled “What Do I Do With My Hands?” LOL I’ve got you covered! =)
