Five Ways You Can Effectively Use Your Branding Images ~ Vancouver, WA
These past couple of years, you've probably noticed that I've REALLY gotten into brand photography. When I first started studying photography (all the way back when I was 13!), I wouldn't have guessed that I'd eventually fall in love with branding photography sessions... but here we are! Somehow I made my way from working freelance for newspapers in high school to briefly studying photojournalism in college, and now we're here. Today, brand story sessions have become a key part of my offerings, right along with boudoir.
Now, you might be wondering some of these questions...
What exactly is business branding photography?
Where can I actually use my brand photos?
Let's start from the beginning and talk about branding! If you own a company or work for a small business, the "branding" for your business includes much more than your logo... It includes the FEELINGS and EMOTIONS that you want your clients to experience while working with you. Through strong visuals (a.k.a. brand photography), we use a camera to capture what it's like to work with you... and then use those images to promote your business.
Let's take this one step further! At first, it may be challenging to imagine where to use your branding photos... so here are FIVE places you can effectively use them:
1. On Your Social Media Profile
Your social media profile is the perfect place to upload a headshot! Whether it's on LinkedIn, Facebook, or Instagram... we can take a photo of you that captures the spirit of your brand and gets potential clients excited to work with you. You can specifically book a headshot session with me (and your team!), or you can book a brand story session with me that includes time for headshots.
2. On Your Website’s Homepage
The homepage of your website is the perfect place to showcase your products! During your brand story session, I make sure to capture examples of what a "finished product" looks like for your business... whether it's a landscaping job, tattoo, or even a baked good. Once you have the final photos, you can use them as backdrops on your website.
3. On Your Website’s “About Us” Page
When showing off your incredible team, having professional headshots is a must! If you'd rather use photos of your team working that highlight their skills and talents... that's also an option. During your brand story session with me, I make sure to capture you and your team while you all do whatever it is that you do best! The resulting images make amazing additions to your "About Us" webpage.
4. On Advertisements/Infographics
If you're looking to advertise a new offering, taking photos that showcase the brand new special or product is a great way to promote. Luckily, I offer brand photography on a subscription basis that allows us to regularly (or even seasonally) take these new product photos for you!
5. On Printed Marketing Materials
When it comes to creating your own printed marketing materials, it's important to choose photos that are high quality and represent your business appropriately! Plus, printed marketing materials (like pamphlets or business cards) are likely to be the first impression that many potential customers have of your business... so why not work with a branding photographer to capture promotional images that you're proud of?
