Shelby & Andrew ~ Private Property ~ Stevenson, Washington

Did you all see my post last week showcasing Shelby and Andrew’s engagement session at Beacon Rock State Park? If not, you should go check that out and then come back and see/read about their beautiful wedding in Stevenson, WA!

These last few months have been so busy with weddings, boudoir, and portrait sessions that I am pretty far behind on my blogging… these two got married in May! (Yeah, I told you, I’m behind. lol)

Originally, Shelby and Andrew were planning on getting married at the Anderson Lodge in Ariel, WA. But, due to COVID restrictions and precautions, they opted to have their wedding outdoors on a friend’s private property.

The two decided to NOT see each other before the ceremony, and got ready in different parts of the house with friends and family helping them prepare… both physically and emotionally!

All of my wedding packages include two photographers, and this is one reason that I’ve chosen to include that service… so that we can be in two locations at once, and have the ability to tell both sides of the pre-wedding story!

When it was time to walk down the aisle, Shelby met Andrew at the end of the aisle under a beautiful archway (with an amazing view!). They were married by a family friend, and cheered on by their loved ones.

The ceremony was beautiful, but you could tell that the reception was really where the party was going to be! With the amazing smelling meal from J-n-S Texas BBQ, fun dance music, and bar tender on-site, Shelby and Andrew through an amazing party for their closest family and friends!

At every wedding I try to pull the couple away for some photos TWICE. Once at the originally scheduled “portrait” time, and another later on in the reception- after they have had a chance to get some food and beverage, and time to settle into the celebration and relax, Once they have had the opportunity to take a breath and “be” together, that second set of portraits is my favorite. The mood and vibe is always more relaxed, romantic, and thankful.

Thank you Shelby and Andrew for allowing me to be there to celebrate with you on your special day. It’s always an honor when couples choose me to document their big moments, and I appreciate you all so much!

I still have openings for 222 weddings, so if you’d like to connect and book a complimentary consultation, you can do that here! I would love to meet you and hear all about your amazing plans!
