More Than A Mom: Portraits of the Whole Woman

More Than a Mom is a photography project celebrating the layered, complex identities of women beyond motherhood. Through intimate portraits and personal stories, this series honors the passions, careers, dreams, and histories that exist alongside — and sometimes get lost beneath — the title of “Mom.” It’s a visual reminder that every mother (in every stage of motherhood) is a whole person first: an artist, an athlete, a lover, a dreamer, a leader.
The Gallery Show & Reception
The show will be open from 5:00-7:00 pm on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Loowit Brewing, 507 Columbia St, Vancouver, WA 98660 with remarks from the photographer at approximately 6:00 pm.
Hors d'oeuvres and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.
The gallery show will be open to the public with advanced purchased tickets. Tickets may be available at the door if they don’t sell out prior to the event.
Gallery Magazines will also be available for purchase in advance (and at the show), either bundled with your reception ticket or as a stand-alone order.
At least 10% of profits from ticket and magazine sales will be donated to the YWCA of Clark County (click here for more info).
While children are welcome to attend, this event is not necessarily child-friendly. Images may be intimate in nature, and participant stories may be triggering to some.
