More Than A Mom: Portraits of the Whole Woman
More Than a Mom is a photography project celebrating the layered, complex identities of women beyond motherhood. Through intimate portraits and personal stories, this series honors the passions, careers, dreams, and histories that exist alongside — and sometimes get lost beneath — the title of “Mom.” It’s a visual reminder that every mother (in every stage of motherhood) is a whole person first: an artist, an athlete, a lover, a dreamer, a leader.
You’re invited to join us and be a part of the revolution!

What Does This Project Entail?
This campaign is a passion project and I have big hopes and dreams for it’s success and message! From May 2025 through March 2026 I will be photographing, interviewing, and writing your stories. At the end of the project (roughly May 2026) I will be exhibiting your portraits and stories in a public gallery-type of event.
If this sounds like something you’d like to be a part of, here is more information on what you can expect from the experience.
Before Your Session:
A pre-session Zoom Interview. I will ask questions about your life, hopes, dreams, and goals before and during (all stages of) motherhood.
Collaborative discussions to brainstorm ideas to create a series of portraits that show the world who YOU are.
Day of Your Session
Professional hair and make-Up with one of my amazing artists.
An editorial style photography session in my Vancouver, WA studio.
Snacks and non-alcoholic refreshments.
A special “Thank You” gift.
After Your Session
Personal reveal appointment — This will be your opportunity to see your portraits, select your favorite and order any additional prints/products.
Project participants will receive one digital image of their choice immediately after their reveal appointment, as well as an 8x10 matted printed of their image and a copy of the complete project magazine after the gallery showing.
