Kayla & David ~ Independence, Oregon Wedding

Kayla and her fiance, David, told me that they were planning on getting married on September 19, 2019… 9/19/19… this year’s palindrome day! They had already booked the garden at Green Villa Barn and Garden in Independence, Oregon and was hoping that I’d be willing to travel for document their big day. Without hesitation, I said “Yes!” they seemed like a fun couple and the venue looked gorgeous! We got a contract signed, their date on my calendar, and then waiting for over a year! But, I’ll tell you, it was worth the wait!

Let's Hear it for the Grooms!

I absolutely love documenting the look on the groom’s face when he sees his to-be-spouse coming down the aisle! But, if you think it about it, even that moment is more about the bride than the groom… grooms kind of get the short end of the stick on their wedding day, and, sometimes even in the wedding photos!

As a wedding photographer, I try to give both sides equal coverage. And I generally have a lot of fun photographing the guys! This post is all about the grooms!
