Not Your Average Date Night ~ Couples Boudoir Photography ~ Vancouver, WA

When you think of the ideal date night for you and your partner, what types of activities do you imagine?

If you love to turn up the romance… Maybe you imagine a private, candlelit dinner as the date of your choice!

Or if you prefer a date that’s filled with adventure… Maybe you’d rather go on a hike (through some of the gorgeous outdoor sights we have here in the Pacific Northwest) followed by star gazing.

But if you want both romance AND adventure, I have just the date night activity for you…

A couples boudoir session!

I recently offered a Date Night Boudoir Special that was the best of both worlds… It was an amazing opportunity for partners to connect romantically AND was a way for my clients to try out a new, adventurous activity. On top of this, a couples boudoir session definitely gets points for being a unique date… It’s something way different than your average dinner and movie night!

Today’s blog post will be ALL about one of my Date Night Boudoir Sessions! The couple who booked this special session received all of the following for a flat fee: professional hair and makeup services for one, approximately one hour of photography time in my studio sets, use of any items in my studio lingerie closet, a $50 restaurant gift card, AND a $150 print credit… so you can have some fun images and products to look at later!

On the day of the session, the couple arrived at the studio, and Haley Alverson quickly got started on my client’s hair and makeup! She ended up with a beautiful neutral eye look and a bold red lip! Haley also created classic curls that looked great with my client’s blonde hair.

Before we knew it, it was time for the session to start! We started off in the living room set, and the couple wore sleek and sexy coordinated outfits! She wore black and red lacy lingerie, and he wore a gray suit jacket with classic dress pants and a watch. During this part of the shoot, I made sure to take plenty of photos that captured their chemistry. In these shots, they’re either holding one another or looking in each other’s eyes, and the photos really highlight their steamy connection!

Next, we moved over to the bedroom set. She changed into a sheer, pale green bodysuit while he wore a white shirt and jeans. The styling for this part of the shoot was a lot more relaxed! On the bed, I guided her through poses that were super similar to poses I’d include in a solo boudoir shoot… But in our couples shoot, her partner was there to embrace her in some shots and highlight her figure in others!

Finally, it was time to try out some shower shots! She kept on the same green look, but he went shirtless for this part of the session. Just by looking at these photos, I’m sure you can tell that the shower set turned up the heat and made the shoot even steamier! The couple had a lot of fun during this part of the session, and the rest of our photography time really flew by.

Right after the session ended, the couple left for a date at Stack 571 totally on me! It was a perfect (and very tasty) way to wrap up their fun and playful day at the photography studio.
