What to Expect During Your Business Branding Photography Session ~ Vancouver, WA
/When it comes to a business branding photography session, I want to make sure that we are getting the shots that you want and NEED for your business! I also want to make sure that you have lots of options and variety in your images so that you can use them for YEARS and for various marketing efforts and campaigns! In order to accomplish this, I have my session experience set up in a pretty specific way. So, here are four things you can expect to see/experience during your session with me to make these goals a reality!
A Pre-Session Consultation– We will meet via video chat to discuss your business, your brand, and your goals for your images. Don’t worry, I have a LOT of questions, all you need to do is answer them! To best prepare for this meeting, I would recommend thinking about your brand image and how you would describe it. Not your logo, but rather the FEELING you want to portray to your clients/customers and the EXPERIENCE you’d like them to have. Think about the words you would like them to use when referring you to their friends and family!
Guided Posing & Direction – Don’t worry! I will tell you what to do for any/all posed images! You don’t need to know exactly how to stand or where to look or what to do with your hands. I will direct and sometimes even physical move you (with consent of course) if needed! There will also likely be a “behind the scenes” part of the session where I will be acting as a “fly on the wall” and photographing you doing your job. Generally I just let you do your thing for this, but if you are stumped on what to do, or I need to get a specific image/angle I will direct you through these shots as well!
Variety in Shots – For most business branding sessions I will capture four different types of images: “Behind the Scenes” images of you physically DOING your job, traditional headshots, images of your products, and detailed photos of your workspace and decor (I call these “b-roll” images). You’ll want a collection of all four of these types of images to help with creating social media posts, printed marketing materials, and images for your website.
Wardrobe & Scene Changes – Part of the “variety” that we want to capture for your final gallery includes a change of scene and wardrobe. We don’ want your entire IG feed to have you dressed in the exact same thing, sitting at the exact same desk! I usually recommend 2-3 outfits for your session so that we can mix things up! We’ll also move around your space, even if that means just turning 90 degrees with a different wall in the background. Whatever I need to do to mix it up and give you variety, we’ll do it!
So…. are you ready to book that session and “up your game” with more professional marketing images? If so, I’d love to chat with you! You can click here to schedule your pre-session consultation, or one of the buttons below for more information!
