Showered in Glamour ~ Boudoir Photography ~ Vancouver, WA

If you’re a lover of ALL things boudoir... then you’re really in luck today!

Why? I recently shared a blog post that highlights one of my model sessions in the studio, and it features some behind-the-scenes photos of me at work! That blog also includes some shots of my model getting her hair and makeup done, so if you've ever wondered what it's like to have a boudoir session with me OR if you want to relive your own experience in the studio... that blog post truly has it all!

But if you REALLY can't get enough of boudoir content, today's post will be a fun bonus for you! I'll be highlighting a second model session that I recently captured, and this one goes to show that no two boudoir sessions are ever the same...

Even though boudoir sessions usually include the same bedroom set... each model brings her own style, personality, and energy to the shoot, making each one totally different! On top of this, some sessions even include the use of a "special set," which allows us to try out unique sets like our bathtub set, rose petal set, or kitchen set.

And that's exactly the case with today's model session!

For this particular shoot, I knew that I wanted more boudoir content that could be shared online, and on top of this... I was hoping for behind-the-scenes content that showed both me and my model in action while using the shower set (which is one of my favorite special sets!) and the fireplace set. So that's exactly what we planned for! I asked Tammy from Studio Q Photography to join us in the studio for the day so she could take some candid shots of us at work.

On the day of the session, my model arrived feeling excited and ready to go, and Natalie Olson also joined us to work on her hair and makeup! I'm obsessed with the bold red lip and flirty, glam lashes that Natalie created on my model. The final makeup ended up reminding me of a modernized pin-up look, and her soft curls complemented the makeup perfectly!

When we got started in the bedroom set, my model wore red lingerie and classic black pumps which were both amazing picks for the hair and makeup styling she had! Tammy also joined us in the bedroom to take plenty of behind-the-scenes shots. Once we captured some photos on the bed, we took some "implied nude" shots with the black satin sheets. Then, my model posed by the curtains so we could play around with the fabric, light, and shadows.

Next up was the fireplace set! For this part of the session, my model switched into an all black look with fishnets. I love that the mirror in this set allows us to take all kinds of creative photos... As my model faced the mirror and pulled down her strap, I was able to take some fun booty shots that also featured her face in the mirror!

Finally, it was time to play around with the shower set! Unless you've had this type of session yourself, you may not have seen everything that goes into creating the magic of the shower set... Tammy captured me as I set up a solid black backdrop behind my model and and a clear panel right in front of her! Because the panel is clear, it looks like a shower door once it's wet. To get it wet, I just use a spray bottle to do the trick!

Thank you to my model, Tammy, and Natalie for bringing this session to life and spending the day shooting with me! It was super fun to play around with the fireplace set AND the shower set. Plus, now I'll have all kinds of behind-the-scenes content that I can use on social media!
