Strike a Pose, Win the Prize! ~ Boudoir Photography ~ Vancouver, WA
/It’s TI-IME! (If you read this in Mariah Carey’s iconic singing voice... then you TOTALLY understood what I was going for here!)
It’s time to talk about one of the most wonderful times of the year... the holidays! Not only is it wonderful because of the magic in the air and the special times spent with family... It’s also amazing because of the chance to win TONS of free goodies in my Facebook group!
The best part is... entering to win is SO simple! All you have to do is look out for my “12 Days of Xmas Giveaways” in December, and you’ll be able to enter each giveaway if you’re a member of the group. We’re still a couple months away from December, but it’ll come up fast... so make sure you join this group of positive, empowering women before the holidays sneak up on us.
Last year, I highlighted the woman who won the grand prize of my 2023 giveaways. Now in this blog post, it’s time to feature my 2024 winner!
The grand prize of my 2024 giveaway event was a mini boudoir session that included professional hair and makeup services! (The prize for 2025 will be similar... so get excited and ready to enter during the next holiday season!) My 2024 winner chose to have her session in the spring, and she also picked out which studio sets she wanted to use. She was able to select two different sets for this mini shoot... so ahead of time, she let me know that she was interested in using the classic bedroom set and the bathtub set!
On the day of the session, Haley Alverson visited the studio to glam up our winner... and the final look was simple yet so sultry! The eye makeup was neutral while also calling attention to her beautiful eyes, and the final hair was straight and sleek. As a boudoir photographer, I tend to see a lot of curled hair, so it was fun to see a different style for this session.
When it was time to start shooting, we got all set up in the bedroom set! My winner selected purple satin sheets, and we took a few “implied nude” shots with them. If you like the idea of taking a nude photo but don’t feel comfortable stripping down completely, this type of shot is a great fit for you! It allows you to appear nude while staying mostly covered up by the sheets and the layer of lingerie you have on.
In the bedroom set, we also took some photos of her resting on her back (with her legs against the wall) and also on her side. These photos are so simple but really highlight her gorgeous body art! I love how her tattoos stand out against the dark lingerie, sheets, and backdrop.
Stepping into the bathtub set was a ton of fun! For this special set, she wore a very dark blue teddy that created quite the contrast with her skin tone, and this wardrobe choice looked great on camera. We took plenty of photos that featured her facing the camera, but some of the most fun shots to take were actually the “anonymous” ones. These images came out looking great, too... The photos that feature just her legs and her hair falling over the side of the bathtub are mysterious yet SO playful!
So, what do you think? Would you like the opportunity to win a session like this one?
Whether you’ve already had your first session in my studio or you’re a boudoir newbie... my giveaways are open to you, and I’d love to see you in front of my lens!
Before December rolls around, just make sure to join my Facebook group... I can’t wait to see you there!
