Small Town Beauty by Megan Webb ~ Clackamas, OR ~ Brand Photography Session

As a photographer, I’ve had so many different “firsts” in my career… My first time photographing a wedding, my first ever boudoir session, and the first studio I had all to myself! Each one has felt SO special, and it’s so exciting that I have photos to look back on whenever I want to relive these “firsts.”

This branding session includes another “first” for me! This is the first time that one of my images has been used on a billboard. Yep, you heard that right… A billboard!

Normally, I don’t make blog posts for my single branding sessions, but how could I NOT make a post about this one? It’s not every day that I can say that my work ended up on a billboard. Plus, I wanted to make a post to celebrate the incredibly skilled Megan Webb!

Megan Webb is a talented hairstylist who currently works at Glitter and Glam Beauty Lounge in Clackamas, Oregon. She has six years of experience behind the chair, and it absolutely shows! Her clients leave her glowing reviews, and her stunning haircuts and color results speak for themselves.

So if you live near Clackamas and are ALSO in the market for an incredible hairstylist who knocks it out of the park… Megan is your girl! She offers balayage, all over highlights, and color services along with her haircuts. Plus, if your hair is in need of any special treatment, she’s definitely the right person to talk to! Megan offers chemical frizz fighting treatments, conditioning treatments, CPR treatments, and scalp treatments. On top of all of these offerings, you can also go to her for an updo! Someone like Megan who has this many amazing offerings (and is so hard working, too) deserves to have equally amazing branding… and that’s where I came in to help!

When Megan reached out to me, she had TONS of fun ideas for her photography session! I brainstormed with her, and we had the goal of creating a collection of versatile images that could be used for her marketing… think her social media accounts, website, business cards, and billboard!

I would definitely say that we met this goal! The shots that we took really highlight her personality for potential clients, and we also included a ton of props that elevated the images to the next level. Many of the final photos feature Megan wearing sunglasses and rollers in her hair while holding hair products and a blow dryer... and all of these props were SO much fun to play around with.

Then, we also captured some shots that featured her name, social media, and branding! One of these photos included Megan showing her Instagram profile to the camera, and another photo highlighted her business card. We also had the idea to write “Hair by Smalltownbeauty” on a newspaper… which was then used as a prop!

After this session was over and Megan received her final photos… I got the news that she was going to use one of the images for a billboard! To celebrate having her own billboard, Megan had a “billboard party” with some of her friends! Unfortunately, I was out of town and couldn’t attend, but I made a trip to see it in person after I got home. I took photos while I was there, and you can see some of those below!

Thanks a ton to Megan for trusting me to bring your creative vision to life! It was lots of fun to work with you and also bond over what it’s like to be a female small business owner. For quite a few different reasons, this is a branding session that I’ll never forget!
