I am SO excited to share today’s post, but it also feels incredibly bittersweet…

If you haven’t already heard, I’m currently in the process of moving into a different studio space! I’ve spent the past two years (I can’t believe it!) in my previous studio, and I can’t begin to tell you how many amazing memories I’ve had there.

From the classic living room and bedroom sets all the way to our “special” sets… It was a ton of fun to create each and every setting! Now that I’m moving into my new residential studio, I have the chance to design new backdrops and creative sets that I wasn’t able to set up in my old space. That’s one huge reason why I’m making the move… I can’t wait to create new spaces that my clients will love, and I’ll also be able to make use of outdoor space!

I always LOVE when I have the opportunity to capture two people in love, but I have to say… This session really hit home and was a special one for me!

Why? These are my brother’s engagement photos!

It’s always exciting when a sibling gets engaged, but this one really means a lot. After capturing Rob’s engagement photos, I’ve now photographed engagement sessions for all of my brothers! I’m the oldest in my family and have three little brothers, so I’ve always loved to capture the important moments in their lives. Not only have I photographed their engagement shots… I captured senior photos for all three of them, too!

When it comes to planning a wedding, it’s always a great idea to think about some of your favorite things as well as your partner’s favorite things and find a way to include them in your big day… whether it’s a favorite musical artist, type of food, or color!

Better yet… You can also take your favorite things and turn them into the entire theme for your wedding!

This is exactly what Nathun and Katie did! Both of them are huge fans of Halloween, so they decided to make their wedding Halloween themed. Their big day was set in late October, so it was the perfect time of year to include fun costumes and spooky decor.

When you think of my photography studio and the types of boudoir sets I offer… I bet you think of all the classics! Of course we have the bedroom set and living room set. Those rooms are super versatile and used by just about everyone who books an in-studio boudoir session with me.

Even though the special sets aren’t used as often as our classic sets, it’s so important (and fun, too!) to get experimental with creating new sets. I always want to make sure that my clients have tons of unique options when booking.

I’m always thinking about new types of sets and ways I can practically bring them to life in my studio! It usually takes some DIY-ing, help from a loved one or two, and a model session… And that’s exactly what I did to bring my latest idea to life!

When clients come in for their first sessions, we capture exactly what they’re going through at that point in their lives. It’s natural for our mindsets and life circumstances to change at least a bit over time, so if clients choose to come back for more sessions… there’s a guarantee that things will be different!

As I look back at my friend’s first session, I can see SO much growth. This is especially impressive because she even went through a ton of personal changes before her first visit to the studio! The changes haven’t stopped there… In just a year, she’s had even more personal growth and gained a new sense of independence.

Calling all partners of boudoir lovers! Today’s post is just for you…

When we talk about using boudoir photos as a gift, usually this refers to booking a session for ourselves and then buying either prints or an album to gift to our partners. This is such a fun Valentine’s Day gift or birthday gift, and the present always takes partners by surprise… in the best way possible!

But what your partner may not know is that a boudoir shoot is an awesome gift for you, too!

As part of my new brand story offerings, I recently met with Pam Huber of The Whorticulturist and Pam Huber Designs to take some behind-the-scenes photos for her business!

In Pam’s case, it was so much fun to act like the “paparazzi” and capture her inside of her workspace because we were surrounded by gorgeous plants during the whole shoot. It was amazing to see all of the greenery and learn more about plant care just by watching her!

Emily and Eli planned their wedding around a Dungeons and Dragons theme, and from start to finish, they had a beautiful wedding that was perfectly unique to them.

I’m so excited to share the fun day that I recently had with Alana of Flowers by Alana! We worked together to capture photos that would truly tell her company’s brand story. Looking back at these photos, I love the story that they tell! Alana is a passionate floral designer, and her beautiful work shines in these shots.

On the day of Alana’s brand session, we met at her gorgeous floral studio in Estacada, Oregon, and it felt like we walked into a dream! Her studio was covered in stunning flowers and greenery that had such a soft, romantic feel to them. The natural lighting was the cherry on top of the beautiful setting in her studio.

Recently, I had the amazing opportunity to spend the day with Kate of Aspen & Birch, and we worked on capturing the brand story for her photography business!

Kate recently opened up a brand new photography studio in Oregon City (congratulations!) and decided that it was time for some behind-the-scenes shots of her updated space. That’s where I came in! We spent the day together, and I got to see Kate do her thing in her photography studio. While watching her work with a client, I got to learn all about her photography style and also heard more about the services she offers!

For today’s boudoir post, you’re in for a special treat… We’ll be switching things up and giving you an inside look at all things posing!

When it comes to outdoor weddings, especially in the Pacific Northwest, we all cross our fingers and hope that all signs of rainy weather hold off on the special day…

At Samantha and Jonathan’s wedding, that’s exactly what happened! After a week of not-so-great weather, we were all crossing our fingers and hoping for a beautiful April day. Thankfully, the sun was shining when everyone arrived at the Columbia Gorge Hotel to get ready that morning!

When it comes to clients that I’ve known for many years, there’s truly nothing more rewarding than being able to be there for them during their big life events… That’s one of the reasons why I absolutely loved being able to capture Alexis and Karl’s wedding!

I’ve known them for years and have been so honored to work with them for their engagement session, their child’s birth, and his first birthday, too. It has been so special to show up for them during these moments, so it meant the world that I could also help capture their big day!

In today’s day and age, social media plays such a big part when it comes to my boudoir photography… I always LOVE connecting with women in the Vancouver area, and I’m so proud of the community that we’ve built together within my Facebook group.

Many of our members join the group without knowing a whole ton about what the experience is like, but they quickly see other members sharing photos from their sessions… And the rest is history! It’s always so fun to see a new member join the group, learn more, and then fall in love with boudoir after booking a session. This is exactly what happened when my client booked a session!

Today, we’ll be going behind the scenes and talking a bit more about what it’s like to try out a new type of boudoir session and also have a model shoot. In my blog posts, I do like to share quite a bit about the different types of special sets and sessions that I offer. (Think my shower sets or masquerade sessions!)

Now, it’s time to talk even more about the thought process that goes into creating those types of experiences…

When you take a look at the boudoir photos that are posted on my website, have you ever wondered more about the women who are featured in the shots? My photos often display women looking so confident and empowered while embracing their bodies!

Here’s the truth! Before shooting, many women have some jitters or nerves because it’s a brand new, first time experience! Those feelings are 100% normal. Keeping this in mind, I’m here to encourage you and reassure you… If the idea of stepping in front of the camera for a boudoir shoot is nerve-racking, but you otherwise would LOVE to book a session, I totally encourage you to do it!

The Wolf’s morning show (Nick & Kristen in the Morning) is such an entertaining radio show that’s also super unique! They have a segment called the Name Campaign that features a different small business each month!

Now you can probably see where this is going… Nick and Kristen decided to bring their Name Campaign to Brittney Corey Photography!
